Double Indemnity (1944)

Double Indemnity (1944).  A great film, one of my favorites.  A good review but how do you not mention the main reason the movie was a standout in the film noir genre?  The novel the film was based on, written by James M. Cain, was stupendous as were some of his others well-known to fans of the genre, such as The Postman Always Rings Twice and Mildred Pierce.
